The Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital

Location: Montreal,
Montreal

The Neuro is committed to accelerating the discovery of new treatments and cures through Open Science to help patients with all neurological disorders.
Our Neuro-Palliative Care program sees about 100 patients a year. As you can imagine, there is a lot of sadness and tears. They’d love to have 125 boxes of tissue. This would last them for the year!
Because of COVID, patients can’t bring their own items into the neuro-palliative care unit. What would really be incredible is a little care package that could include things like Kleenex, a warm blanket (something soft/fuzzy/cozy that does not look like hospital linen), deodorant, toothbrush/toothpaste, eye covers, ear plugs, mouth wash (like Biotene, that helps with dry mouth), extra masks, body cream, and lip balm. This would be a huge help for the patients’ levels of comfort.
