Adoptive and Foster Families of Maine (AFFM) is a 501 (c) 3 non profit organization that provides services to families statewide. AFFM’s mission is to provide the training, guidance, knowledge and resources needed to handle the complex issues encountered by resource families as they open their hearts and homes to children in need.

Some of our many programs are our Back to School Program (providing Maine’s children in care a new backpack full of school supplies, toiletries, and a back to school outfit to start the school year), Holiday Gift Giving Programing (providing Maine’s children in care with holiday gifts), Placement Bags (providing children that come in to care in an emergency situation hygiene products and some items of comfort as they transition into a new home).
