Betty Walker Waites Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving 100,000+ low-income children and families annually across Dallas County, Texas through free food distributions, shoes, school supplies, hygiene products, and essential resources — all completely free of charge. Founded in 2021 by Katania Curtis in honor of her mother who spent her life quietly feeding her neighbors, BWWF operates weekly food distributions at 6 City of Dallas recreation centers, partners with Dallas ISD and Lancaster ISD for McKinney-Vento homeless student support, and hosts large-scale community events serving 500–1,000 families. We are 100% volunteer-led — every donated item goes directly to a Dallas County family in need.
