We are a post-secondary institution in Northern Ontario (Sudbury) for the past 3 years we have been doing a Student Starter Kit/Bag that includes a lot of items from the Dollar Store/Walmart/Other for kitchen start up, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, home organization etc. We bought in bulk, and each bag cost about $55.00 each before taxes – last year we did 256 of them. It was a lot of cool stuff. It is A LOT of work logistically to put all of the pieces together. This year with all of the budget implications of the international student visa approvals, we are unable to make it work to the same level. As part of the Indigenous Student Circle (council), we are also hoping to have things that are more sustainable and meaningful this year that won’t be harming the environment as well. I think that your website said we can work with you to figure out what can go into the kits etc. That would be great. I look forward to hearing from you soon. I know that this year – we might not be able to do much with September being so close – and I am on holidays from Aug 1-25th. But I would LOVE to get things started in a good way. Chat soon, Marisa Cheslock
