Hello Kits for a Cause,

My name is Phileasee Porter-Bourgeois, and I am the founder of Cristina’s Closet, a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving foster children, youth in foster care, young mothers and fathers in foster care, kinship caregivers, aftercare youth, and families rebuilding after crisis in the Upstate South Carolina area.

We provide essential items with compassion, dignity, kindness, and no judgement. Many of the families and youth we serve need basic hygiene supplies such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene items, wipes, lotion, and other personal care essentials.

I am reaching out to ask whether Cristina’s Closet could be considered as a recipient charity or community partner for hygiene kit packing events, back to school kits, or any future donation opportunities through Kits for a Cause. Hygiene kits or back to school kits would be incredibly meaningful for the populations we serve. Children come into emergency placement foster care with nothing but the clothes on their backs, these kits would be so helpful.

I would be grateful to speak with someone about whether Cristina’s Closet could be added to your charity network or considered for future hygiene kit campaigns.
