Delta Family Resource Centre
Established over 35 years ago, DFRC is a Black-led, Black-serving, and Black-mandated (B3+) community-based agency located in Northwest Toronto. The organization is committed to addressing the emergent needs of Black communities and other priority populations through culturally grounded, community-driven approaches. Our mission is to engage, empower, and heal communities by providing a range of services that promote well-being and social justice.
Core Programs and Services
1. Black-Focused Initiatives
DFRC offers programs tailored to the unique needs of Black communities, including:

Youth School Success Initiative: Provides mentorship and advocacy to support academic achievement.

Black EarlyON: Delivers early childhood education grounded in African cultural practices.

Motivated Mamas Table Talk: A platform for mothers to share experiences and build community.
2. Children, Youth & Family Services
Programs designed to foster cultural identity and intergenerational support, such as:

Kuji Kids: Supports children (ages 0–12) and caregivers through culturally grounded learning and play.

EarlyON Programs: Offers free, high-quality early years services.
- Stop Now And Plan (SNAP) Program – is designed to help children aged 6–11 who exhibit disruptive behaviors. The program focuses on teaching children how to stop and think before acting, and to make better choices. It aims to reduce impulsive behaviors and improve emotional regulation, leading to better outcomes in school and at home.
3. Youth Services (12–29 years)
Provides a dynamic, culturally affirming space for Black youth, focusing on:
