Discovery House’s mission is to empower people who’ve experienced family violence with the space, supports, and skills to imagine and create a better life. Our vision is healthy thriving families, free from domestic violence. We support families that have left situations of domestic violence, providing them with affordable, safe housing in our shelter and in the community and with barrier-free access to a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, inclusive, and culturally appropriate continuum of prevention and intervention programs and services to help them heal and thrive. 

We believe that every family deserves a safe and nurturing environment. In addition to housing, each family receives trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, culturally adaptive wrap-around supports. Our services provide families with safe, affordable housing, case management, child and youth specialists, counsellors, and cultural programming.
