The mission of Dress for Success HALIFAX is to promote the economic independence of women by providing work-appropriate attire, a network of support and career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. We receive referrals from approximately 50 agencies in HRM, for job-ready clients in our community. What our clients have in common is that they want to work and are ready to make positive changes for themselves and their families. However; through challenging circumstances, they may have forgotten, or may never have known, that they are important, valuable members of our community who have a lot to offer potential employers. Dress for Success Halifax suits women for employment, from the inside out, as well as provides coaching services.
As a non-funded organization, we rely heavily on our volunteer fundraising teams, along with the support of our business partners and regular donors to ensure we are able to continue to serve the women in our community.
Dress for Success has suited more than 1,000,000 women worldwide since our inception in 1997.
