The Eva Rothwell Centre is a community resource centre located within the former Robert Land School in the heart of the Keith neighborhood. Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty and provide a stable, supportive environment that enables personal development through partnerships and programming.
Our centre offers free before and after school programming to the children/youth of the community, ages 5-18+ years of age. During these tough economic times, the amount of children and families that are in need is growing on a daily basis. Unfortunately, the families in the Keith community of Hamilton are not immune to this with seven out of ten children aged twelve and under living in poverty. While everyone is working so hard for the basic necessities, their ability to provide extras for their children and themselves is not always a reality. However, we can change this with your assistance and give some of our kids an equal opportunity to participate in new experiences.
