Genesis House is an emergency domestic violence shelter serving South Central Manitoba with beds for 5 women and 11 children. In addition to providing emergency shelter, Genesis House provides support groups, counselling, advocacy and education to survivors of abuse in the community. A Sexual Assault Prevention Program has recently been launched in partnership with local clinics. Genesis House is in process to expand their services to include a 25 unit transitional housing facility, set to open in Spring of 2027.
