Hiatus House, located in downtown Windsor, offers emergency shelter to abused women and their children, and specialized counselling services to all family members. Since opening in 1976 as a 9-bed emergency shelter, we have grown to a 42-bed shelter with approximately 50 staff members. Our trained counsellors offer 24 hour/day, 7 day/week counselling for families whose lives have been affected by domestic violence.
