For 21 years, Inn from the Cold has operated as an agency of last resort for those children and their families who find themselves with no place else to go. We offer shelter, sanctuary, and healing through an integrated continuum of services including an emergency family shelter, supportive housing, early childhood development, medical and many other programs.
Family homelessness is on the rise in Calgary; this is a crisis of epidemic proportions. We are Alberta’s only street level non-barrier family emergency shelter, therefore we are consistently at or over capacity. This demand is attributed to lack of affordable and appropriate housing and lack of supports for families. It is our mission to create a community where no child or family is homeless and we can only achieve this goal with your help. We are 70% funded through the generosity of Calgarians, and your support means vulnerable families get the shelter, sanctuary and healing they need.
