Journey Home Community is a faith-based organization dedicated to supporting refugee claimants in Metro Vancouver by providing transitional housing, settlement assistance, and relational support. Founded in 2005 by a small group of volunteers, the organization has grown from a grassroots initiative to a key player in helping hundreds of refugees each year. With a mission inspired by God’s love, Journey Home creates caring communities where refugees can experience hope, belonging, and meaningful connections as they adjust to life in Canada.
Through programs like Welcome Homes and personalized settlement support, Journey Home offers temporary, furnished housing and helps individuals and families navigate the challenges of starting anew in Canada. The organization also facilitates connections with other refugee families, volunteers, and community services, ensuring that refugees find a supportive and welcoming environment during a critical time. Journey Home continues to walk alongside families, empowering them to thrive and flourish as they rebuild their lives.
