Lighthouse Mission has been serving Winnipeg for over 113 years. Originally a home church, Lighthouse Mission saw a tremendous need with the onset of the Great Depression. At this point, Lighthouse began to directly help those in need of a warm meal, connection and a welcoming smile.
Today, Lighthouse Mission continues to serve Winnipeg’s most vulnerable with up to 700 warm meals, 800 cups of coffee, and much needed basic items each day that we open our doors to welcome in our friends and guests.
With today’s changing world, we are also adapting to meet the changing needs. With the majority of our guests struggling in addiction, we help those who have lost hope and direction see a path to a new beginning. By connecting those who would like a new start to long term addictions program, we believe we can transform the landscape of our community. Currently we are in the midst of renovating two of our three buildings to bring much needed crisis detox beds to our community.
We look forward to not only bringing the comfort of a meal, but also a new hope to those who need it most. Lighthouse Mission – where we Love All – Serve All and Everyone Matters
