The North Etobicoke Resident Council (NERC) is a community-based organization comprised of dedicated leaders, advocates, and residents working collaboratively to address issues that impact the well-being of the North Etobicoke community. Our mission is to advocate for residents, foster community engagement, and promote initiatives that enhance quality of life for all.
Through strategic partnerships and community-driven action, NERC advocates for solutions to local concerns while creating opportunities for education, empowerment, and civic participation. We are committed to supporting youth through educational workshops on topics such as mental health, consent culture, social media awareness, and personal development. We also organize community events, including our annual Back-to-School Bonanza, which provides backpacks, school supplies, and other essential resources to children and families.
In addition, NERC hosts programs and events for seniors and facilitates engagement with leaders from the public and private sectors. These initiatives help ensure residents remain informed about projects, policies, and developments that may affect their lives and their community.
