Since 1988 OIM has been coming alongside people experiencing poverty and homeless, meeting immediate needs and building self esteem and self worth through a strengths based program. We have several day programs for adults, two evenings per week when we host Innercity Arts, a program designed to assist street-engaged youth and young adults. We lead our city in the number of outreach teams that walk the streets seven days per week, distributing felt need items that are designed to help build relationships with those who call the streets their home. We have had as many as 19 teams of volunteers walking the streets on a weekly basis.
