The Purse Project York Region was established in 2016 when our Founder decided to donate purses she no longer needed and invited others to do the same.

An annual campaign that allows contributors to donate purses, back packs, and new amenities to those in need each Spring. Together with members of our community, we aspire to uplift the spirits of those who may have fallen on tough times by providing a gift from anonymous supporters.

We are proud to promote kindness and solidarity with the assistance of many and raise efforts on how collectively we can make a positive impact on the lives of many, offering them a sense of dignity, care, and support during challenging times. To date, we have donated over 8,000 filled purses and bags to 50+ non-profit organizations and community groups in need.
