Hello! My name is Kayla Farrell and I am the Social Worker at the San Miguel School in Providence, RI. Our school services young men ages 10-14 in a middle school setting. We serve 64 boys and their families currently providing support such as weekly grocery bags, holiday food baskets, assistance with holiday gifts, and other chances to help support them financially such as super market gift cards, clothing assistance and financial support towards high school and beyond. San Miguel serves students from diverse and challenging backgrounds in and around the Providence area. Income is the largest proponent of acceptance and the majority of our families are currently living below the poverty line. As the holidays approach, we are looking to put together hygiene kits for students in need and their immediate family members.
