Warm greetings from Sri Subramanyeshwara Foundation. 

Sri Subramanyeshwara Foundation incorporated in the year 2014 in Chintamani of Chikkaballapura district, Karnataka state. Our mission is to uplift and support underserved communities. Our key focus areas of our programs are Formal and non-formal education, Rehabilitation for persons with disabilities, Rural health care services, Care and protection for adolescents,  Support for displaced and disadvantaged elderly, Rural livelihood initiatives and Advancement of education. 

Over the years, we have witnessed two deeply concerning trends in our region. On one side, high levels of malnutrition among rural children severely hamper their physical health and academic progress. On the other hand, a growing number of abandoned and uncared-for elderly are left homeless, neglected, and struggling without food, shelter, or dignity.

To respond to these urgent needs, we have initiated two integrated programs that address both education and nutrition for children and care and feeding support for elderly citizens:

1. Akshara-Aahara – After-School Bridge Education & Nutrition Program

Currently supporting 250 rural students (5th–10th standard) from Doddabommanahalli and three neighbouring villages of Chintamani Taluk, of which nearly 50% are orphans or children of single parents.
Key components include:

• Academic support to bridge learning gaps
• Spoken English to build confidence and communication skills
• Basic Computer Literacy for digital readiness
• Nutritious meals to combat malnutrition and enhance learning outcomes

2. Old Age Home Feeding & Care Program for 52 elderly: 

At our Old Age Home in Beechagondahalli Cross, Gudibande Taluk, we provide abandoned and destitute elderly with:

• Nutritious meals
• Safe and secure shelter
• Basic healthcare support
• Emotional and social care to restore dignity in their twilight years

Through these two initiatives, we are striving to ensure that no child or elder under our care sleeps hungry, remains neglected, or is denied the chance to live with dignity.
