Street Haven (SH) is an award-winning multi-service women’s agency that has the distinction of having established Canada’s first women’s shelter and has been actively engaging in internal service integration to better support the evolving needs of clients who are at-risk and vulnerable. Street Haven provides addiction treatment, mental health supports, outreach services, shelter services, supportive housing, and life skills development services for young women in Toronto. Annually, we serve approximately 1,500 clients, gearing them towards greater independence, housing, physical and emotional wellness, employment supports, and an improved quality of life. 2025 marks Street Haven’s 60th anniversary and demonstrates the agency’s commitment to provide services for underserved and underfunded individuals in the Toronto community. The need for these services is great and Street Haven is committed to it’s ongoing mandate to improve the mental health of those who identify as women, and to enhance access to, and navigation of, mental health services within Toronto.
