The Neighbourhood Group Community Services is a social service agency serving helping vulnerable people and families in 30 locations across Toronto. More than 47,000 low-income people access our free programs and services that address the most pressing issues in our community: poverty, homelessness, mental health, unemployment, social isolation, substance abuse, conflict resolution, violence, youth alienation, and the settlement of newcomers.
Each year, our 1000+ staff, 700+ volunteers and generous donors like you, help low-income people break the cycle of poverty through immediate and long-term services:
- Mental health care and first work experience for at-risk youth
- Nutritious meals, harm reduction and financial security for people who are homeless
- Mediation and conflict resolution skills for tenants and neighbours
- Personal support workers, supportive housing, food security and wellness activities for seniors
- Settlement assistance and Canadian work experience for immigrants
- Affordable child care for low-income and single-parent families
