Ocean Crest Community Ministries operates four programs serving low-income individuals and families as well as people experiencing or at risk for homelessness. Our Family Services Program operates a lunch program serving hot, nutritious meals to an average of 65 people per day. This program also operates emergency food hamper, clothing and household goods voucher programs for housed individuals and families experiencing hardship. The lunch program participants can access free shower and laundry facilities, clothing, hygiene supplies and weather-related gear such as tents and sleeping bags for winter and sunscreen/hats/water bottles for hot weather.
The Emergency Shelter services adults experiencing temporary or chronic homelessness. We provide individual’s basic needs for shelter, nutritious food and hygiene supplies/services. We also provide case management services to assist people in their journey toward sustainable housing. We also manage a six-unit transitional housing building for people who were experiencing homelessness that have completed a treatment and recovery program and want to maintain their sobriety and transition to long term housing.
