Union Gospel Mission has been feeding hope and changing the lives of men, women, youth, and children for 80 years. Through its several locations in Metro Vancouver the Fraser Valley, and the Greater Victoria area, UGM extends a full continuum of care to people who are struggling with poverty, homelessness, and addiction. Our comprehensive range of life-changing programs and services include: outreach, meals, chaplaincy, drop-ins, emergency shelter, family services, alcohol and drug recovery, second-stage recovery, employment services, and housing.
We are committed to providing our services with excellence in order to ensure our guests receive the best care, and are treated with utmost respect. We strive to embody our Core Values throughout all our work here at Union Gospel Mission—whether it’s providing an emergency food hamper to a family struggling to make ends meet, helping someone get off the streets, or walking alongside an individual as they work hard to recover from addiction.
As we continue building relationships with our guests and learn about their needs, our continuum of care has expanded. UGM has successfully integrated several new programs into our ministry, such as Case Management, Career Development, Pre-Recovery, stabilization programs for women at The Sanctuary, and Leadership Development for youth in the DTES. With these changes, we believe UGM is now positioned to better meet the needs of the communities we serve.
