Hello,

My name is Kat Clewley. I am a Direct Support Professional with Christian Horizons in Hamilton. We have an event coming up on June 10th called “Belongathon”. It is our first year hosting this event, in the past we collaborated with Ride for Refuge.  This event is a community outreach fundraiser. We’ll be walking, running and rolling to raise awareness and funds for people with developmental disabilities.

Kits for a Cause would be an ideal charitable partner for this event! When we planned this event, we thought about giving the participants a “race swag bag”…I heard about Kits for a Cause from my part time job at my local YMCA. 

As a Belongathon Charitable Partner, we would be grateful if Kits for a Cause could donate a bag with items inside to give to each Belongathon participant. We anticipate 300 participants at our 3 event locations. If that’s too many kits/bags, we would appreciate enough for 2 of our event locations, which would amount to 150 kits/bags. I selected a few options below in regards to “Charity Category” and “Kit Selection”. However, just to note our Charity Category would be more “people with developmental disabilities” and the Kit Selection would be something we could discuss over the phone perhaps? We understand this is a short turn-over, and appreciate anything you can put together for us by June 10th.

In turn, we would like to set up a date in the near future to help Kits for a Cause!

As well, in turn, we would like to promote Kits for a Cause on our website and at our local Belongathon events.

We have a lot of logos on our website under “Resources”, I attached one of them.

As a Charitable Partner, Kits for a Cause will make a positive impact in the lives of people with developmental disabilities, gain visibility, and increase its reputation in the community.
