Our kit packs range in price depending on the contents of your kits and of course the number of kits you are packing. On average most participants will pack 10 kits each starting around $5. This works out to about $50 a participant. Kit packing is completely custom to your needs and budget as well as the charities need so there are lots of options available!
There is NO charge for our engagement specialist to help guide you through the process or match you with the perfect charity and teach you how to host a memorable and engaging team building activity!
In some cases the charity may be able to pick up your donation however typically the donor will deliver the donation to their charity of choice. This is actually a really fun way to continue to engage your team by loading up available vehicles and taking the items over yourself, or if needed using a courier company to deliver them on your behalf.
You can pack your kits from the comfort of your own space, making it accessible and easy for your whole team to participate. You can pack kits in your boardroom, staff room, parking lot or anywhere you desire! We have helped with Kit packs that took place in a local park, across office desks, an ice rink, and even in someone’s living room!
We are always welcoming new charities to the Kits for a Cause team so if there is a great cause you would love to support let us know! There is a good chance we have already connected with them and would love your help in growing our partnerships and making even more of an impact in your community.
We would love to, but with the growing demand and number of Kit packs all across Canada attending them all is just not feasible. If your event is local to Toronto and you would love us to come to speak let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. We can also help you coordinate with a member of the charity you are supporting as sometimes they are able to attend your event and thank your team for the support!
The process is fairly simple. First, choose a cause, determine your budget and event details. Second, approve the contents of your kit pack via email. Third, set up your event, pack kits and have a great event while giving back to your community.
Although Kits for a Cause is geared towards groups, teams, companies, and schools that does not mean you can not pack Kits as well! You can pack kits with your friends, family, neighbors or anyone you know! Kit packing can be a great activity for family reunions, bridal showers, birthday parties and more!

Kits are completely customizable. Most kits include many of our suggested items that are based on the typical needs of our charitable partners. That does not mean you can not change your kits but we always want to consider the current needs of the charity you are supporting.

Please note that although we welcome visitors our warehouse is not cash and carry and our warehouse requires time to pack and confirm your order.
Payment is accepted via Visa, Mastercard, ENT or cash on pick up. Please note in some cases a deposit may be required.
Of course, it is just suggested to confirm with the charity of choice first before adding in extra items such as snacks, notes or handmade goods.
Most charities are in major need of community support all the time. However part of our partnership role aims to help a variety of charities to spread the donations around.
Shipping is based on the size and weight of your order and of course how far it needs to go. We are located in Toronto, Ontario and offers free pick up at our main warehouse. We also get preferred rates with multiple couriers to help us ship all across Canada.
No, your local taxes and shipping cost are in addition to the cost of the products.
The only charges you will see from us are the cost of the products you selected, taxes and shipping. You may wish to purchase food and beverages for your kit pack on your own.
Kits for a Cause helps groups pack Kits for the charity of their choice. For local volunteer needs please contact your charity choice directly.
You can pack kits wherever you want! In your office, boardroom, a staff room or even your parking lot! As long as the boxes fit in the space you plan to use you are good to go!
The earlier the better! Although we can make magic happen it’s in everyone’s best interest to arrange your Kit Pack at least 2 to 4 weeks in advance. The holiday season is our peak season so the more time the better. Many of our Kit Packers plan a year of giving at a time and can pre-book their events well in advance. Some pack Kits twice a year, others have a monthly celebration with their team.
Whenever you want! Some great times to pack Kits include the holidays, company celebrations like anniversaries or new launches. It could be just before your busy season or in the middle of your quiet season to add some excitement. Back to school is another time when our charitable partners are in great need as well as winter months when their intake is at an all time high.

Anyone can pack Kits! One of the many reasons Kit packing is great for your group is that it is very accessible for any age or ability.
Yes! Kit packing is a great way to teach children about giving back to their communities. Since the basics of packing it a kit is just placing an item into a bag it is really easy for young children to join in on the fun.
Kits for a Cause is a division of Bargains Group. Bargains Group is a 30 year award winning company that provides exceptional quality products at discounted value. Our supplies come from Bargains Group, your order is shipped from the Bargains Group Warehouse and all invoicing and payment will also be processed through Bargains Group.
There is no minimum order as to what you have to spend but as our supplies are packed in wholesale cases to get you the best prices there is often a minimum amount in each box. There is a formula on how many items to pack per person we suggest you have that ensures your team is engaged which depends on your group size, Kit contents and event length.
There are two ways the kits get to the charity of your choice. You or a member of your group can deliver the kits to the charity after your kit pack or a representative from the charity you are supporting may be able to come pick up the kits from your event. Kits for a Cause can help you connect with a liason at the charity who you can make arrangements with.

There is no charge to become a Kits for Cause partner.
All we ask is that you add the provided information to your organizations website to ensure our donors that your partnership is credible.
Part of the Kits for a Cause service is ensuring that your needs are met, when registering you can select the kits and items you are in need of and can contact us at anytime to update or change your request. We also contact your organization prior to planning any Kit packing event to ensure your needs are up to date.
When registering your organization you can select from the suggested Kits that your programs are in need of. You can contact us at anytime to update your needs and Kits for a Cause will contact you before any Kit packing event is booked to ensure you are only receiving the donations you need.
In the event you are offered more than you have space for we will work with the donor to divide their donations with another program in need to ensure nothing goes to waste.
If you have the ability to pick up the donation you are more than welcome to do so. However we do ask our Kit packers to either delivery the donation themselves or use a courier if needed.
