The BRICC (Building Resources Inspiring Change in our Community) Foundry is a non-profit start-up seeking to mitigate socio-economic disadvantages while helping women overcome gender- and cultural-specific barriers to success.
The BRICC Foundry is partnering with the School of Professional Psychology (SOPP) to host our first International Day of the Girl Child event. International Day of the Girl Child acknowledges adolescent girls’ importance, power, and potential by encouraging and opening more opportunities for them. Together we are taking this opportunity and providing a day filled with self-care and mental wellness combating the shocking imbalances in school/work-life responsibilities through sound therapy and breathwork.
Workshops will include finances 101, a sound therapy experience, and a question/answer session with a female-led panel. These initiatives involve partnerships with women-led organizations from Ohio, California, and New York.
