Smart Development is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission works to enhance the social safety net and expansion of opportunities for at-need families to grow roots and lead toward pathways of self-sufficiency and being a trusted-voice for the international community. We serve over 4,000 refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and broadly newcomers to Northeast Ohio annually. We provide wrap around services with culturally competent case management in the areas of housing, basic needs, employment, public benefits support, and community resource navigation. We serve in specific roughly 1,500 new refugee arrivals annually who need consistent donations as they get on their feet and adjust to their new community.
