Wahbung Abinoonjiiag is a family violence prevention, crisis, and healing centre, established in 1994 to empower children and their families to end the cycle of violence. Wahbung is located within the North End of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Wahbung Abinoonjiiag envisions a place and a time where children and their families can live free of violence, and unrestrained by the impact of violence.
Mission:
Our mission is to develop and maintain the villages of Wahbung Abinoonjiiag that will wrap around our children and their families to nurture their healing and well being so that they can take their rightful places in the world and the future.
Wahbung offers programming, advocacy, and support for children and their families aimed at supporting the holistic healing of the family unit. Wahbung’s programming includes children focused programming (Junior Youth Group, Senior Youth Group, Summer Day Camp, and Little Ones and Caregivers); adult focused programming (Traditional Parenting, Women’s Circle, Men’s Circle, and Healing and Harm Reduction); Cultural Programming; and Community Helper Initiative Programming for the whole family unit. Wahbung operates a men’s emergency shelter program for male identifying individuals and their families impacted by violence and a transitional housing program for individuals and families impacted by violence. Wahbung also offers support through various food security programming, counselling, advocacy and referrals, capacity building and volunteer opportunities, and community-driven events.
